Maëva Gardès
Maëva Gardès has been a psychologist for 10 years, specialized in providing support to children, adolescents, and women who have experienced violence. She has a master’s degree in health and prevention psychology from France, an additional training in clinical psychology from Canada and has just finished a certificate program in psychotraumatology.
She danced for a Flamenco Company for many years, and she is passionate about ballet and literature. She is deeply interested in including art in her professional practice, as art-therapy can be useful for trauma survivors who may be unable to verbally express the trauma but could externalize their stories through art. As a former Flamenco teacher, she experienced the use of body language as a way for children to build self-confidence and express emotions.
