The Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, Hon. Angelina Teny, and senior leadership of the Joint Defence Board (JDB) launched the “Action Plan for the Armed Forces on addressing conflict-related sexual violence in South Sudan” on the 19th of June 2021. It was a significant event as it coincided with the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict. The action plan builds on and unifies the SSPDF and SPLA-IO action plans on addressing CRSV.
