UN Special Representative Patten calls on the Government of South Sudan to expedite the establishment of the African Union Hybrid Court to address sexual violence and other grave violations of human rights

(11 February 2021) The United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Pramila Patten, welcomes the announcement by the Government of South Sudan to establish transitional justice institutions provided for under Chapter V of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (R-ARCSS), and calls on the Government to expedite their establishment.
