Supporting Displaced Adolescent Boys and Male Youth at Risk of Sexual Exploitation: Toolkit (UN Women, WRC, 2024)

Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict

This practical toolkit supports frontline workers in humanitarian settings to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation affecting displaced adolescent boys and male youth, including those with diverse Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC).

Developed by UN Women and the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC), it provides guidance on survivor-centred approaches, risk factors, service provision, community engagement, intersectionality, and inclusive programming for vulnerable and displaced young people. The resource includes training materials, exercises, case studies, and tools to strengthen protection, referral pathways, and access to services for survivors and those at risk.
