This independent review, published in 2013, examines the first five years of UN Action Against Sexual Violence in Conflict (UN Action), from its establishment in 2007 through 2012.
The report assesses the network’s contribution to global policy development, UN system-wide coordination, advocacy, knowledge generation and country-level action on conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV). It highlights key achievements, identifies challenges and opportunities, and provides strategic recommendations to strengthen UN Action’s future impact in preventing and responding to CRSV.
