This training guidebook was developed in 2019 to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) to engage in transitional justice, reparations, victim participation, and accountability processes.
Produced under the UN Action Against Sexual Violence (UN Action) UNA057 project in partnership with IOM and UNAMI, the publication provides practical guidance on criminal justice, truth-seeking, institutional reform, reparations, gender justice, and the role of civil society in post-conflict recovery. The guide places particular emphasis on survivor-centred approaches to reparations and the rights of survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Download it below.
