Guide to Teaching the Educational Course on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence in Ukraine (CRSV_UNA06, 2026)

UN Action CRSV

The Guide to Teaching the Educational Course “Conflict-Related Sexual Violence” is a practical handbook developed by UN Women Ukraine and JurFem to support teaching and learning on conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The resource provides an interdisciplinary overview of the legal, theoretical, and methodological foundations of CRSV, drawing on international human rights law, humanitarian law, criminal law, gender studies, and trauma-informed approaches. It promotes survivor-centered and human-centered perspectives for educators, researchers, legal professionals, and students.

This publication, supported by UN Action Against Sexual Violence in Conflict (UN Action), within the context of the project “Strengthening national and community-based CRSV prevention and response mechanisms in Ukraine through a survivor-centred multisectoral approach” (CRSV_UNA06, 2022-2026), contributes to reinforcing knowledge and capacity on conflict-related sexual violence, accountability, and survivor protection in conflict settings.
