The present Report covers the period from January to December 2024. In 2024, proliferating and escalating conflicts were marked by widespread conflict-related sexual violence, amid record levels of displacement and increased militarization. Twenty-five years after the adoption by the Security Council of its resolution 1325 (2000) on women and peace and security, conflict-related sexual violence continues to primarily affect women and girls.
