Addressing Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict: Special Appeal (ICRC, 2026)

Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Special Appeal, published in June 2026, outlines its global efforts to prevent and address sexual violence in armed conflict and other situations of violence.

The appeal presents a survivor-centred approach that combines prevention, protection, healthcare, mental health and psychosocial support, community engagement, and legal advocacy to support victims and survivors while promoting compliance with international humanitarian law.
